




2008 Mazda 6 is lighter than it’s predecessor - something that breaks the tradition of newly released cars getting heavier and heavier with every generation. The new Mazda 6 does not share a platform with the Mondeo’s EUCD platform, instead uses a revised version of first generation CD3 platform. Mazda6 went on sale early in 2008 – and won Best New Car at last year’s Fleet World Awards - and has proved a popular choice since. On Wednesday, the award was presented at Grosvenor House Hotel in London after a panel of fleet expert judges declared that they were “impressed with the wholelife cost performance, new range of diesel engines and the car’s driving appeal.”
